Sister in Temporary Vows

At her profession, a Sister is consecrated – that is, given wholly to God – and professes the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience. During the period of temporary vows, which normally lasts five years, the Sister continues her religious, apostolic, doctrinal and professional formation, and when adequately prepared, receives an apostolic assignment.
